EMPLOYMENT IN A LIFE CHANGING MINISTRY
Are you passionate about shaping the future of a child who has lost his/her parents as a result of abuse, abandonment, neglect or death? As a caregiver, you will join a team in one of our cottages creating a family environment for our at-risk kids aging 11-18 who often have nowhere else to turn. This campus is often the first step of a child's journey toward hope and healing. After completing our two week in-house paid training, you will take on a life-changing mission by guiding, counseling, and helping to meet the emotional, educational, spiritual and daily needs of our children. We are looking to you to provide compassion, internal strength, and competence for these kids. We need you to have a desire, dedication, and an interest in sharing your life with other team members and residents.
Due to the critical nature of this position, Smoky Mountain Children's Home (SMCH) Direct Care Staff who meet our high standards of care will receive competitive compensation, a caring, and supportive environment, extensive paid training, 24-hour professional support, future career opportunities, and state-of-the-art treatment techniques. In addition, medical/dental/vision/prescription benefits, paid sick days, paid personal days and paid vacation are available.
The Home is nationally recognized with over 90 years of history in caring for hurting children. We are fully licensed and accredited through the State of Tennessee and Council on Accreditation (COA) for our residential, foster care and on-campus school. Annually, SMCH will touch the lives of approximately 500 children. The Church of God Smoky Mountain Children's Home in Sevierville, Tennessee is dedicated to "Changing the Next Generation" for hope and healing through nurturing care. We are committed to ministry that reaches to every area of a child's life (physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational).
